What do I need in order to get started?

Getting started as a tester on Userbrain is straightforward.

To ensure high-quality test results and a smooth experience, you need to meet a few personal and technical requirements.

This article outlines everything you need before taking your first test.

Personal requirements 

To participate in user tests on Userbrain, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. You must be at least 18 years old.

  2. You need an active PayPal account to receive payments.

  3. You must be comfortable thinking out loud and clearly explaining what you see, think, and feel during a test.

  4. Your voice must be clearly audible throughout the entire test. We strongly recommend using an external microphone for better sound quality.

Userbrain tests rely heavily on verbal feedback. Clear spoken thoughts are essential for test quality and payment eligibility.

Technical requirements 

You only need one of the following setups:

Desktop or Laptop (PC or Mac)

Mobile Devices

or

A stable and reliable internet connection is required for all devices.

For best results, avoid:

  • Public Wi-Fi

  • VPNs

  • Unstable mobile hotspots
