How to set your Audio or Video Permission for Mac

After downloading your Userbrain Recorder for Mac you will be asked to allow access to your microphone and screen so your experience can be recorded during your user tests.

If your microphone is not ready to be used make sure to check your settings and make some changes if necessary.

How to enable microphone access for Google Chrome

  1. Open System Settings:

Mac > System Settings
  1. Enable Microphone for Chrome in Privacy & Security:

Click on Privacy & Security and then on Microphone
  1. Make sure Google Chrome is enabled:

Make sure microphone access for Google Chrome is enabled
  1. Restart Google Chrome if necessary:

Now your microphone should be ready to use.

How to allow screen access for Google Chrome

  1. Open System Settings

Mac > System Settings
  1. Click on Privacy & Security and then on Screen & System Audio Recording

  1. Make sure Google Chrome is enabled

  1. You might need to restart Google Chrome to apply the changes
